The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Jennifer Adighije, has reiterated the company’s commitment to providing reliable and sustainable electricity across Nigeria.
In a goodwill message to mark this year’s Democracy Day celebration, Adighije emphasised that democracy can only deliver meaningful benefits to citizens when supported by essential infrastructure, particularly dependable electricity.
The NDPHC boss described stable power supply as a critical driver of economic growth and democratic development.
She noted that access to reliable power remains vital for industrial growth, job creation, enhanced productivity, and community development.
She stressed that NDPHC is committed to addressing electricity supply gaps across the country.
According to her, electricity is more than a utility service but a fundamental enabler of economic prosperity and national development. “At NDPHC, we remain committed to delivering reliable electricity that drives industries, empowers communities, and fuels national progress,”.
Adighije explained that businesses require consistent and predictable electricity to operate efficiently, expand production, and remain competitive in today’s economy.
Highlighting the company’s Eligible Customer Programme (ECP), she described the initiative as a game-changer for large industrial and commercial consumers seeking direct access to stable power supply.

She added that the programme helps participating businesses reduce energy uncertainty, minimize operational disruptions, and improve overall competitiveness through uninterrupted electricity supply.
The NDPHC chief executive reaffirmed the company’s determination to support Nigeria’s economic transformation through strategic power sector interventions, noting that improved access to electricity would continue to play a significant role in unlocking industrial growth and strengthening the dividends of democracy.
She also called for sustained collaboration between public and private sector stakeholders to build a more resilient and efficient power sector capable of meeting the country’s growing energy needs.
Adighije stressed that reliable electricity remains a key catalyst for manufacturing growth, commercial expansion, and employment generation, making initiatives such as the Eligible Customer Programme central to Nigeria’s industrialisation agenda.

The company noted that access to stable power would enable firms to increase production, reduce downtime associated with power outages, and reinvest cost savings into expansion, innovation, and business development.
The company further highlighted the Light Up Nigeria Project as another strategic intervention aimed at expanding electricity access for productive users, strengthening industrial capacity, and supporting sustainable economic growth nationwide as power sector reforms continue to gain momentum.
