Niger Delta Volunteers (NDV) has warned attackers of Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Obong Nsima Ekere, to desist forthwith or face unpleasant consequences.
In a statement signed by its leader, Mr. Ekpo Ekpo and made available to Daily Sun, yesterday, the group asked all those not comfortable with the developmental strides of the present NDDC board, led by Ekere, to be cautious in their utterances and desist forthwith to avoid breakdown of law and order in the state.
The group, however, congratulated Ekere and the entire board of the commission for working tirelessly in order to build enduring infrastructures across the region.
“Akwa Ibom has been producing NDDC managing directors and about four executive directors without anyone feeling the impact of NDDC in the state.
“This is the first time in the history of the commission that the state has recorded massive infrastructural development and life-touching projects in all the nooks and crannies of the state and region.   “We therefore call on those behind the campaign of calumny and cheap blackmail to ridicule the current NDDC board, led by Ekere to stop such act forthwith or face the consequence of their action,” the statement said.
