A Chief Superintendent of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Abdullahi Abdulwahab Magaji, has tragically taken his own life in Kano State. Magaji, who was serving at the NCS headquarters in Abuja, reportedly shot himself with a pump-action gun at his residence in Kano a few days ago.

The motive behind his action remains unclear. The Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the incident and stated that a full-scale investigation has been initiated.

In a separate incident, the police have arrested Mohamed Barde and two others in connection with a gang fight that resulted in the deaths of two individuals in Kano. The deceased were identified as Sadiq Abdulkadir of Darmanawa Quarters and Muhammad Sani of Sallari Quarters.

Barde had organized a gathering for his upcoming children’s wedding, during which a group of thugs engaged in a violent clash. This resulted in the deaths of two people, injuries to three others, and damage to vehicles belonging to innocent bystanders.
