The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) has commended President Bola Tinubu’s recent appointment of Engr. Bayo Ojulari as the Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
In a statement signed by its National President, Alhaji Yusuf Othman, NARTO congratulated Ojulari, describing the new management as a round peg in a round hole.
The team includes Roland Ewubare as Group Chief Operating Officer; Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Financial Officer; and Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President of Gas, Power & New Energy.
The association also recognised the contributions of Udy Ntia as Executive Vice President of Upstream; Mumuni Dangazau as Executive Vice President of Downstream; Sophia Mbakwe as Executive Vice President of Business Services; and Adesua Dozie as Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer.
The statement noted that Ojulari is a seasoned industry player capable of maintaining the high standards set by his predecessor, Malam Mele Kyari.
It emphasised that President Tinubu’s choice reflects a significant and fitting appointment, essential for building upon the current positive trajectory of NNPCL.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the oil and gas industry, such as fluctuating prices, output issues, and infrastructure deficits, NARTO urged the new management to remain steadfast and innovative in these turbulent times.
With the national refineries recently resuming operations, the association highlighted the importance of sustaining these functionalities, as NARTO heavily relies on product haulage.
Furthermore, NARTO extended a hand of fellowship to the Ojulari-led management, expressing an eagerness to maintain and enhance its longstanding collaboration with the company.
