Napoli is set to lose €6 million after Super Eagles star striker, Victor Osimhen decided to complete the season with Galatasaray, rejecting an offer from Manchester United.

The Nigerian player, currently on a season-long loan from Napoli, has attracted significant transfer interest during the winter transfer window.

According to Sky Italia, Osimhen will finish the season in Istanbul, with the club expressing confidence in this outcome: “Galatasaray is 100% convinced that Osimhen will stay for the remainder of the season.”

Reports indicate that there are currently no negotiations underway for Osimhen’s transfer to any other team.

Meanwhile, La Repubblica states that Napoli’s Sporting Director, Giovanni Manna, has been closely monitoring Osimhen since his transfer to Galatasaray.

Manna travelled to Istanbul to meet with the Nigerian striker regarding Manchester United’s offer, which aimed to secure Osimhen during the mid-season transfer window.

However, Osimhen expressed his desire to complete the season at Galatasaray and subsequently turned down Manchester United’s offer.

The report also notes that Napoli stands to earn €81 million if Osimhen is transferred to another team during the January transfer window, and this amount would drop to €75 million if he is sold at the end of the season. Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly reacted to these developments by stating, “Let him stay where he is; tell Galatasaray to keep him.”
