Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has noted that the incessant clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers could come to an end only with mutual respect for each other.
Governor Bagudu stated this during closing ceremony of 2017 5th
Hottungo Fulani Annual Cultural festival in Suru Local Government Area of the state, maintained that there would be peace in Nigeria various tribes give room for dialogue whenever differences occur.
Governor Bagudu, who was addressing hundreds of Fulani at the
ceremony from different Nigerian states including Niger and Benin
Republics, said that the state government would do everything within its powers to ensure that Fulani and farmers live together peacefully through mutual understanding and respect.
Said he, “ I enjoin you to live in peace with one another through mutual respect and eschew violence ”.
