World-renowned YouTube creator Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has married his longtime partner, South African content creator and author Thea Booysen, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends.
The 28-year-old, who is the world’s most-subscribed YouTuber, announced the wedding on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing photographs from the celebration with the caption: “I found Mrs Beast and it was the best day of my life.”
The couple exchanged vows on Necker Island, the private Caribbean island owned by British billionaire Richard Branson, in a ceremony that reportedly formed part of a week-long celebration which began on July 14.
Around 70 guests, comprising close friends and family members, attended the festivities. Activities organised ahead of the wedding included kitesurfing, snorkelling and other recreational events before the couple exchanged vows during a private ceremony officiated by an ordained family friend.
Photographs from the event showed Donaldson wearing a classic formal suit, while Booysen appeared in a long lace wedding gown before changing into a shorter reception dress. The newlyweds were also photographed in matching white casual outfits during the celebrations.
Donaldson and Booysen first met in South Africa in 2022 after being introduced through a mutual friend during a dinner gathering. Their relationship gradually developed, with the YouTube star proposing to Booysen on Christmas Day in 2024.
MrBeast has built a global reputation through his large-scale philanthropic projects, high-budget challenge videos and charitable initiatives, making him one of the most influential digital creators in the world. Booysen, a content creator and author, has also established a growing following through her online work and literary projects.
The wedding marks a significant personal milestone for the couple, whose relationship has attracted widespread interest from fans since their engagement was announced nearly two years ago.
