Asaba, Delta State will be agog as Bodybuilders all-over the country storm the city for the 10th edition of the ‘Mr Flex and FitUp Nigeria’ Bodybuilding championship, even as N1m is to be won.
The tourney, which takes place inside the Squash Club Asaba, will begin on Saturday and end on Sunday
The championship will feature Bodybuilding Classic (men), Men Fitness Physique, Bikini Figure etc.
The overall winner is determined between the three winners.
Awards, according to the organisers, Steco Productions, would be given to important sports personalities like, Ned Nwoko. Dr. Rafiu Ladipo and other sport personalities who have been supporting sporting activities in Nigeria.
Speaking ahead of the tourney, National President ‘Mr Flex Nigeria’ Stephen A Okolie-Odene, said this year’s edition, powered by 7UP Nigeria and Vidju Industries, would surpass the previous editions as high flying bodybuilders from Nigeria in the colourful contest.
“Our aim is to raise champions and give Nigeria a sustainable place in world Fitness and bodybuilding ranking.
“Some athletes have used this platform to represent the country in international championships which many of them won laurels for the country.
“It may interest you to know that lots of our athletes have identified lots of opportunities and have carved a niche for themselves.
In the course of this, the world federation has equally admitted Nigeria as a member of National Amateur Bodybuilders Association (NABBA) and World Fitness Federation (WFF),” he stated.
