Most songs today lack lyrical depth – Wizboyy

Popular singer, Wiz Ofuasia, aka Wizboyy, has stated that despite the avalanche of music being released, most songs today lack lyrical depth.

“I have cried the most tears about this. Not every song has to be lyrical deep and that’s okay. Some songs are just for the moment, fun and vibes. But music is way more than that, it’s like a Swiss army knife when it comes to affecting human emotions. It’s a tool for inspiring, educating, encouraging and uplifting people. Unfortunately, most songs today lack lyrical depth and substance. Little wonder the lifespan of songs now is 3 months on average, sad” he told Saturday Sun.

Sharing the inspiration behind his song, ‘Fly Away, he said: “Fly Away is a song that comes from a place of purity of thought, celebrating and reaffirming my belief in love, and appreciating a woman’s beauty in and out.”
