The Tosin Eniolorunda STEM Foundation has unveiled the Future Builders Fund, a scholarship initiative designed to empower high-potential but under-resourced students across Nigeria.
The program aims to eliminate financial and structural barriers preventing bright students from reaching their full potential in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
In line with Nigeria’s digital economy goals, the Foundation founded by Moniepoint CEO Tosin Eniolorunda has previously donated a ₦100 million CAD/CAM laboratory to Obafemi Awolowo University and supported several youth innovation programs, including the University of Lagos Entrepreneurship Challenge, the Nigenius Inter-School Robotics Competition, and the NextGen Connect Oratory Competition, worth over ₦50 million.
“The Future Builders Fund is about creating financial happiness through education,” said Eniolorunda. “Every child deserves the chance to become the best version of themselves. Socioeconomic barriers should not block brilliance and innovation.”
The pilot phase will sponsor 14 outstanding students two from each of seven federal universities covering tuition, accommodation, a laptop, and a monthly stipend. Beneficiaries will also receive mentorship and development training to help them cultivate a solutions-driven mindset.
Participating universities include Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Nigeria Nsukka, University of Calabar, University of Abuja, Ahmadu Bello University, University of Maiduguri, and University of Lagos.
The scholarship targets STEM students entering 200 level. Applicants must submit their bio-data, 100-level academic records, and a personal statement website by October 16, 2025.
Shortlisted candidates will sit for a standardized test assessing academic ability and problem-solving skills, with the top two per university selected as Tosin Eniolorunda STEM Scholars.
The initiative sets the stage for a five-year scalable scholarship program that combines financial support, mentorship, and leadership development to nurture Nigeria’s next generation of STEM innovators.
