The family of late ace pop singer Mr Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (popularly known as Mohbad) has approached the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court, Ikorodu to seek for order to carry out Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) test on deceased’s son , Liam.
This was revealed in a press release issued and signed by the family’s legal, Monisola Odumosu.
According to the release, the family approached the court with the application marked MKD/31/FAM/2024, in the suit, Joseph Aloba , Mohbad’s father is the applicant while the late singer’s wife v Cynthia Omowunmi Aloba is the respondent.
Among the late singer’s family’s prayers before the court are an order of the court directing that a DNA test be conducted concerning the paternity of Master Liam Aloba an alleged son of Mr. Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (deceased) in a recognised and accredited government or private medical facility within the Lagos State, Nigeria at the expense of the applicant.
An order directing Mrs. Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba to submit herself and Master Liam Aloba for the DNA test at any recognised and accredited government or private medical facility within Lagos State, Nigeria at the expense of the applicant and an order granting leave to the Chief Medical Officer/Chief Pathologist in charge of the remains of Mr. Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (deceased) presently at the Military Hospital Yaba Lagos to take samples of the body of the deceased to conduct a DNA for Master Liam Aloba.
The legal team assured the public, especially those seeking justice for Mohbad to hold their breath as they are doing their best to ensure that no stone is left unturned to achieve justice in this case.
Meanwhile, an attempt to serve the court process on Mrs Wunmi Aloba on Friday 8/03/2024 at her Lekki home was not successful. According to the process server, those from whom enquiries were made to serve the process on her said she had not been seen in the house recently. The legal team has said they will look at an alternative method to ensure that all the court processes are legally served on her.
The legal team further urged those being agitated on social media to continue to hold on to peace, which is the symbol the late Mr. Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad) stood for as he could have fought dirty against his deadly stalkers but chose to tow a path of peace.
