Nigerian artiste Bella Shmurda has broken his silence following the death of his close friend and colleague, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

He also cancelled his Canada tour which was earlier scheduled for this month, September 2023.

“Due to the recent sad event and unforeseen circumstances, I have had to cancel my Tour of Canada. New dates would be communicated,” he announced via his social media platforms.

Heartbroken Bella Shmurda expressed grief regarding the sudden and mysterious death of 27-year-old Mohbad and the controversies surrounding his passing.

In the series of tweets, the singer claimed Mohbad’s spirit has refused to leave him alone since his death which occurred on Tuesday.

“For the past few days now, I have been deliberating on what to do while waiting for the authorities of the Nigerian police to at least get one or people involved in maltreatment and malicious act towards Mohbad,” he wrote.

“Since he died his spirit has not left me – saying a lot of things in my head, pointing hands to people that need to be dealt with in my dreams.”

Bella also claimed Mohbad had submitted “lots and lots of petitions” against people harassing him. He further blamed the Nigerian Police Force for “nepotism and nonchalant attitude” toward the matter.

In a June 27, 2023 petition, the late Mohbad alleged that music promoter, Sam Larry and 15 others all armed, stormed the venue of a video shoot where he and another artiste, Omoniyi Temidayo aka Zlatan Ibile, were working; and threatened to wreak havoc.
