The Military Pensions Board (MPB) has warned against the planned protest by members of the Coalition of Concerned Veterans (CCV) and some retired personnel of the first and second quarters of 2024 over the alleged non-payment of gratuity and Security Debarment Allowance (SDA).
The MPB Public Relations Officer, Squadron Leader Mohammed Aliyu, who made this known, said the board remains committed to the welfare of all retirees and continues to carry out its mandate with transparency, professionalism, and respect for ex-service personnel.
He has therefore urged concerned individuals or groups to seek clarification through official channels. He said representatives of the CCV or affected retirees are welcome to visit the board for verification and resolution of any issues.
Aliyu, in a statement issued in Abuja, said, “The attention of the Military Pensions Board has been drawn to plans by the Coalition of Concerned Veterans (CCV) and some retired personnel of 1st and 2nd Quarters 2024 to stage a protest in the FCT, Abuja, over alleged non-payment of gratuity and Security Debarment Allowance (SDA).
