The Chief Executive Officer of Afro Villa Ltd, Chief Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, has urged investors to seize business opportunities presented by the administration of Governor Peter Mbah to invest in the state.
Chief Onuokaibe made this call on Friday during the first edition of Enugu Youths Investment Summit held at the Base Landmark event center organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria Enugu state chapter, led by Comrade Chukwuebuka Okoh.
He stated that some notable private sector individuals are currently working on investing heavily in the youths through talent harnessing, as well as employment and thus, called on Enugu youths to inculcate the spirit self discipline in all they do and jettison profligacy as it the sine qua non, to gaining liberation from adversity.
“Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has made Enugu state safe for investment, and we must capitalize on it to make Enugu blessed with youths that have different talents.”
“I and some notable business veterans from Enugu state are currently working with NYCN led by Comrade Chukwuebuka Bartholomew Okoh to gather some youths with great business ideas and help them with soft loans from one of the New generation banks.”
“We are going to evaluate their proposals and ensure that they are qualified and need to be assisted.”
‘All the interested young persons need to do is to get their ideas put on paper and sent to NYCN for documentation, which after, they would be sent for trainings before the said soft loans are given by the new generation.”
“Enugu is our own, and it is our duty to help the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in making our youths more productive and useful.”
In his remarks, the Honourable commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Lloyd Ekweremmadu, said the leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is open for partnership with the state youths on training and investments.
He stated that the state Government is about getting a ₦4.4Bn investment from a group of people to aid youth empowerment and industrialization.
Chukwu Ephraim Okenwa speaking on the topic, Enugu’s tomorrow is here mantra, the place of Enugu youths, enjoined the youths to tap on the innovative ideas presented by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration to make life better as the Government is determined to change the narratives through disruptive innovations.
According to him, “Human capital development is the first that makes any Government policies work. You cannot talk about visions and development without talking about the ease of doing business which is what Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is trying to do, so as to make those in Enugu especially, the youths to be empowered intellectually so as to empower others.’
During the panel session, the member representing Igboetiti West state constituency at Enugu State House of Assembly and also chairman house committee on economic development, SDG, and NGO, Hon Amụka Williams Tochi said, Enugu State House of Assembly is Ebee Ready to partner with the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to achieve his goals of increasing our GDP from $4.4m to $30b.
In his opening remarks, the chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria Enugu state chapter, Comrade Chukwuebuka Bartholomew Okoh, enjoined all, on the importance of harnessing the power of collaboration and collective action to drive positive change and create a brighter future for generations to come.
He stated that the event is a significant milestone in the collective journey towards youth empowerment, innovation, and sustainable development in Enugu state.
Comrade Okoh also commended the efforts of the Former Governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi as well as the current state Governor, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on youth empowerment and development; while also Reiterating the commitment of his NYCN Enugu led leadership, in protecting the interest of the youths.
