A man, Adegbite (other names withheld) was yesterday found dead inside a hotel room in Ondo, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Although, details of his death were still sketchy as at press time, but it was gathered that the deceased was a close associate of the proprietor of the hotel which he patronised regularly.
It was gathered that the deceased lodged in the hotel on Monday but his body was found by the housekeepers, Tuesday morning.
The incident has however generated controversy in the town as many residents expressed shock over the incident.
It was gathered that the deceased family who rushed to the hotel when they got wind of the development made attempts to attack staff of the hotel over the death of their relation.
A family source claimed that the cause of the death of Adegbite might be known to some staff of the hotel.
A senior police officer said the body was deposited at the morgue of the state Specialist Hospital, Ondo.
However, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Femi Joseph, said he was yet to be briefed on the matter. He however promised to reach Daily Sun as soon as he receives report on the incident.
