Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Imo State, Basil Udochukwu Maduka, has urged Imo people to repeat the feat achieved at the presidential election by voting for candidates of his party on Saturday.
Praising the electorate for voting LP, Maduka reiterated his hope in the country, saying a new Nigeria is possible with the performance of his party in the last elections.
“I have not lost hope in Nigeria. I can assure you with the performance of the Labour Party in the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections, our candidates across the country have proven that a new Nigeria is possible,” he said.
According to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Group, an integrated oil and gas conglomerate, Nigerians need a state where the welfare of the people and good governance are given priority attention.
“That is why I am seeking power to lead Imo State so that we can change the narrative and make the state work again. So, troop out on Saturday and vote for the Labour Party candidates in all the 27 local government areas. Do not despair; do not fear. We need a change from the old order. We want to have a new Nigeria of our dream. We want a state where fairness, equity and justice are the orders of the day. We want a state where everything is working, where every man is treated equally before the law,” Maduka said.
