Dr. Ogechi Grace Lokpobiri, wife of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, has called on Nigerian women and healthcare professionals to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Speaking on Friday in Abuja, Lokpobiri, National Coordinator of the Tinubu Health Sector Practitioners Alliance (TIHSEPA), urged citizens to back the administration’s socio-economic reforms. She acknowledged that while the economic policies have introduced temporary hardship, they are essential to addressing long-standing structural issues and placing Nigeria on a path toward sustainable growth.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated the courage to take difficult decisions in the national interest. While reforms present short-term challenges, they offer significant opportunities to build a stronger Nigeria,” Lokpobiri said. Describing women as a critical force in national development, she encouraged active political participation and advocacy for policies that strengthen healthcare, social welfare, and economic empowerment.
She described the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as an ‘Icon of Impact’, commending her Renewed Hope Initiative for expanding social welfare, healthcare, and educational access for vulnerable citizens.
Lokpobiri also urged health workers to lend their expertise to national development. She stressed that a robust healthcare system is fundamental to economic productivity.
She reaffirmed TIHSEPA’s commitment to mobilising stakeholders to advance national health delivery and unity.
