A former factional chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Adewale has alleged that his sister was beaten up by thugs sponsored by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
He said this while addressing newsmen after casting his vote at Poling Unit 019 Ward A in Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Areas of Alimosho.

He said: “The ongoing council polls could have been the best time to dislodge All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. But this system is flawed from the beginning. It is a rubbish exercise in Alimosho LGA. My younger sister was beating by APC thugs in Pipeline in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDAs today when she complained against rigging in a polling unit. This election is programmed to make APC win. As far as I am concerned, there was no election. In most polling units, there were ballot papers for councilorship but no ballot papers for chairmanship”.

Also speaking on the crises in Lagos PDP, Adewale who was loyal to the ousted acting national chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff, said that he was ready down for the peace to reign in the party.
