The 2025 Batch C members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to Rivers State orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai have been advised to work diligently and selflessly to make the people of Rivers State feel their impact positively.
The Director, NYSC North West Area Office II, Sokoto, Mr. Anthony Nzoka, gave the advice on Friday, at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, when he addressed the Corps members.
He used the occasion to charge them to be intentional in “acquiring a skill and be ready to provide effective leadership in their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA), noting that because leadership come to those who are ready and prepared for it.”
Speaking further, Mr. Nzoka enjoined the corps members to use the opportunity of the service year to “build bridges of national unity and integration through meaningful relationships that can endure for a lifetime.”
He further advised them to be conscientious in the discharge of their duties as may be assigned to them by their employer.

The director, an indigene of Rivers State, enjoined the corps members to be “security conscious, respect the culture and tradition of the people of their host community, dress properly and decently, be accountable to fellow corps members, abhor the abuse of social media and not engage in useless expedition.”
Earlier, the State Coordinator, Mr Moses Oleghe had informed the Director NWAO II that the corps members deployed to Rivers State for the orientation exercise are “well-behaved, passionate and willing to make positive impacts at the camp and in their Places of Primary Assignment.”
He described them as “one of the best set of corps members in recent times in the State.”
Oleghe informed the corps members that Mr Nzoka is a “deeply committed, dedicated, and trustworthy officer who has given his best and all for the growth of the NYSC.”
The director was entertained by the NYSC cultural troupe and a beautiful Man o’War display.
