The interior designer whose company ranks amongst the biggest in the industry recently launched her LLB Foundation in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital, to the delight of her many friends and admirers. The foundation, shaped out of her initials, is targeted at young boys and girls that are sexually abused with the aim of building emotional stability, defending them and also offering them the opportunity to heal.
Lanre-Badmus, in an emotion-laden voice recounted how she was abused by her step-dad at the age of 13 and how her mum was unable to defend her.
“The sole purpose of LLB Foundation is to offer the victims of sexual abuse the opportunity to vent and heal, as a lot of them are carrying the baggage and have become very bitter and revengeful. We will pursue justice, so they won’t have to wait till they have the means to seek justice and we will aid them through therapy sessions and healing process,” said Lanre-Badmus, who hinted on her plans to partner with renowned law practitioners, international bodies and the government to further sail her mission.
The launch, held at the prestigious Mauve 21 Event Centre in Ibadan, was attended by the who-is-who across the country from the government, media, business and entertainment sectors.
