The Lagos Technocrats 4Hamzat group is set to train 1,000 teachers across Lagos State in a free capacity-building workshop aimed at improving classroom practice and learning outcomes.
The teacher-development workshop, titled “Learning Styles and Learner-Centric Pedagogy in the 21st Century”, is scheduled for August 20, 2026, at the SUBEB Hall, Maryland, Lagos.
The organisers said the initiative was designed to equip teachers in public and private schools with practical teaching strategies suited to the needs of 21st-century learners.
Although participation is free, interested teachers are required to register ahead of the programme.
The training is being convened by Dr Mike Oladunjoye Egbayelo, while Dr Adebare Egunjobi, an educationist, leadership coach and trainer, will serve as the lead facilitator.
According to the organisers, the workshop will focus on three key areas: learner engagement, differentiated instruction and inclusive classrooms.
They said teachers would be trained to understand different learning styles and identify individual learners’ needs, develop tailored and interactive lesson plans, and apply modern techniques to create adaptable and inclusive classroom environments.
The organisers said the programme was part of efforts to strengthen teaching quality and improve educational outcomes across Lagos State.
“The quality of education depends directly on the quality of classroom practice. This initiative provides teachers with practical tools that will deliver a measurable, positive impact on the learning experiences of Lagos children,” they said.
