The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment as it joins the global community to mark the 2026 World Safety Day.

Director-General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, Lanre Mojola, said the observance highlights the need to prioritise occupational safety amid rising workplace risks.

He noted that this year’s theme focuses on psychosocial well-being, urging organisations to address issues such as stress, excessive workload and poor communication.

Mojola called for flexible work policies, employee support systems and better work-life balance to enhance productivity and well-being.
