Founder/leader of Biafra Independent Movement and Movement for the  Actualization of the  Sovereign state of Biafra ( BIM/ MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has directed Igbo in Lagos State and across the country to continue to carry on with their legitimate businesses without fear or panic.

He spoke against the backdrop of the statement by Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa of the enactment of a new business and property law that would favour indigenes of the state.

The law has been viewed by many as targeting the Igbo, who are believed to have bought lands and invested heavily in property and estate businesses in the state.

Uwazuruike, however, described Obasa’s  proposal law as anti-Igbo, urging the Igbo to remain in Lagos and carry on  with their legitimate businesses without fear of being molested or intimidated by anybody.

A statement signed by his Director of Information and Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mazi Chris Mocha quoted Uwazuruike as stating this at the weekend  during the monthly meeting held  at Dim Ojukwu Memorial Library, new Owerri, Imo State.

He advised the Igbo in Lagos to purchase houses and landed  properties with genuine papers for  proper documentation.

“You should not  fear, BIM/MASSOB is ready to protect Ndigbo doing their legitimate businesses anywhere in the North or South West,” he said.

The pro-Biafra leader reiterated that he was  against non-violence and non-exodus  south easterner from any part of Nigeria on account of  fear of being attacked, either on the South West or North.

This is as he vowed  to continue to work for the overall wellbeing of the Igbo wherever they reside.

He reminded South East politicians that everything  he told them when he started MASSOB on September 13,  1999 are now manifesting on daily basis.
