The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has rescued a 63-year-old plumber, Akin Kuboye, after he became trapped while working in a 120-meter-deep well.

This is contained in a statement posted via the agency’s X handle on Sunday.

The incident occurred at No. 20 Muyibi Adebayo Street, off Agric Road, Egan-Igando, Lagos.

The victim was said to be working at the rear side of a bungalow building consisting of 14 rooms of varying sizes, in a premises covering an area of about 648 square metres when he became trapped.

The service said its Ejigbo Rescue Crew quickly mobilised to the scene and successfully brought out the plumber alive from the well.

It said the victim was handed over to the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) which stabilised him from the effect of inhaled ammonia gas before transporting him to an hospital for further treatment.
