In a communique issued by the group and signed by its Chairman, Francis Ajayi, of the Young Democratic Party (YDP) and Secretary, Uche Anyamele, of the United Democratic Party (UDP), the group came together two months ago as a political bloc, a third force and a neutral political group in Lagos on the primary need of fostering a people-oriented governance in the areas of education, health, social security, transportation, environmental sanitation a ndinfrastructure.
The group said in the communique that the nucleus of the formation of the CPLG is the fact that political parties involved, have similar content based on people-oriented blueprint policies which have not been felt over the past 20 years by the masses in the state.
CPLG also said the dividends of democracy have not been felt not only by the entire Nigerians but also in Lagos State in particular.
“As a third-neutral force, which has the greatest potential to deliver, considering our blue-print, we, therefore, beckon on Lagos residents to decide whom to vote for in this coming governorship election,” it said.
