Super Eagles red-hot striker, Ademola Lookman is dealing with a knee problem and will not be available for tonight’s Champions League match against Barcelona, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Lookman did not travel to Catalunya with the rest of the team on Tuesday as he underwent tests on his injured knee in Bergamo.
The specifics of Lookman’s injury are still unclear, but it may sidelined him for up to a month. Reports indicate that he sustained the injury during a training session on Monday.
The 27-year-old has had an impressive season with Atalanta, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in 27 appearances across all competitions. Last December, he was named the Best African Player of 2024.
Lookman, a former player for Fulham, Everton, and Leicester City, joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig for just €9.3 million in the summer of 2022. He has accumulated 46 goals in 105 appearances for La Dea.
