Afrobeats singer and producer, Adegboye Segun aka Shawbit, has announced his arrival on the big stage with the release of his debut Extended Play (EP) titled, King Shaw.

Having made his mark on the music scene with singles like Woman (2018), Burst My Brain (2018), Alicia (2019), No Other Girl (2019), Love This n That (2021) and Joro (2022), Shawbit cemented it with the release of his 5-track EP, King Shaw.

Speaking about the EP, which dropped on November 30 and streaming all digital platforms, Shawbit said it encapsulates the story of his life, the pain, love and a little vibe for music lovers to savour.

Oje is a track that takes me back down memory lane. It is tied to my childhood, friends and the hood I grew up in. Hello is more of a party and love vibes for my ladies with their unique banging body. For My Yard came from a place of pain. I just had a fall out with a friend I least expected, and it was an unpleasant experience. Lamba Limbo is also a party vibe for different categories of people, and Love Energy is an energetic love song. Love gives you energy. When you are with the right person, you feel like doing more, not only for the person you love but also for yourself,” he explained.

Shawbit, who read Computer Science at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, is married with two kids.
