The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Kebbi State office, has declared 18th August, 2025 as the date for the commencement of the Continuous Voter Registration Exercise (CVR) of eligible voters in the state.
Resident Electoral Commissioner,Alhaji Abubakar Sarkin Pawa Dambo made this declaration during a press conference held at the INEC headquarters, Birnin Kebbi.
Dambo explained that the exercise was part off the efforts of the Commission to serve Nigeria better.
According to him, “INEC in her efforts to serve Nigerians better,announced the commencement of the Continuous Registration of eligible voters which commences on the 18th August,2025 for online pre- registration.
“In-person registration will commence on 25th August,2025″, he said.

Dambo explained that any Nigerians,who have turned 18 years are now eligible voters and could either do the online registration beginning on the 18th August,2025 or present themselves to the INEC LGA offices of their residence for the exercise.
He said: ” Nigerians who have lost their Voter Cards, misplaced Cards, those whose Cards were mutilated, those who changed addresses or residences,can also present themselves for the physical registration as well as those Voter Cards are defaced and those who wish to correct their names or date of birth can also present themselves at any of our local Government Offices of their residence.”
Dambo disclosed that, before 2023 general election, eligible voters registration stood at 2,032,41 with 1,096,449 male,represents 54% and 935,595 female registration, which represents 46%.
He added that, the total number of Registration Areas stands at 225 while total number of polling units stands at 3,743.
Dambo noted that 1,847,752 voters have collected their Permanent Voter Cards(PVC) representing 97 percentage.
He appealed to eligible voters who have not collected their PVCs to come over to collect their cards at the date that would be announced.
