Kebbi approves N585.4m for 100 students studying in India

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved the release of N585.4 million for payment of tuition fees for 100 students studying in different Indian universities.

Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isa Abubakar Tunga, confirmed this while briefing newsmen at the Ministry of Higher Education headquarters, Birnin Kebbi.

He said the payment is for Kebbi indigenes studying in the South Asian country, reiterating the commitment of the state government toward promoting academic and moral excellence in the tertiary education sector.

He added that the 25 students studying in Egypt universities, under the scholarship of the Egyptian Government, would receive their accommodations, feeding and money immediately the Governor returns to the state.

The commissioner implored the entire citizens of the state to continue to pray for the continued success of the present administration during their individual and collective prayers.
