From Agaju Madugba, Katsina
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has inaugurated a committee to implement the recommendations of a Whitepaper following an earlier report of an investigative committee that Identified sensitive and strategic forest areas illegally given out as farmlands across the state.
A statement on Friday from the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) urged all those who acquired such forest or farmlands to vacate the areas with immediate effect.
The statement signed by the Director of Press, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’Adua, further noted that only the Governor reserves the right to approve the allocation of any piece of government forest and lands in urban areas within the state.
“People are also warned to take note of the above information in order to avoid the wrath of the law,” the statement said.
