Kano Govt bars commercial tri-cyclists operation beyond 10pm

Kano state government has announced a ban on the operations of tricycles popularly known as A Daidata Sahu from 10:00pm-6:00am.

A statement, which was issued on Monday by the State Commissioner for Information, Mohammed Garba indicated that the ban would take effect from Thursday, July 21, 2022.

He added that relevant security agencies in the state have been directed to implement the ban, insisting the personal would arrest any tricyclists defaulting the ban.

Garba explained that decision was reached at the end of the state security meeting. as part ofmeasures to ensure the security of lives and property in the state.

The commissioner, in the statement, urged tricycle riders to comply and stop operating at the stipulated hour.

Daily Sun gathered that Kano State has a huge population of commercial tricycles operators, some of whom operate deep into the night. However, there has been a rise in the number of cases that are associated to some of these operators. End.
