The Kano State Stakeholders on Education has expressed solidarity with the state government over its ongoing demolition exercise, saying the demolition of these structures in schools and other educational institutions was a step in the right direction.

Speaking at a press conference, Tuesday, the leader of the coalition, Ibrahim Usman Aikawa confessed that the usurpation of the properties of these schools was gravelly detrimental to the growth of education in the state.

He explained that solidarity became inevitable in order to change the negative narratives peddled by the enemies of progress.

“Of course, we acknowledge that changes for societal benefits will be fiercely resisted by a few reactionary and retrogressive forces that have perpetually kept the teeming masses of our state in perpetual ignorance and abject penury.

The coalition implored the governor, Abba Kabiru Yusuf to remain unrelenting in his efforts with a view to halt further usurpation of lands belonging to public schools in the state.

He further appealed to the governor to protect public property against the lustful acquisitive tendencies of private individuals in the state.
