Kano State Police Command has impounded 106 motorcycles and 68 tricycles following the enforcement of the ban on the conveyance of passengers on motorcycles for commercial purposes and the restriction of tricycles from 10 pm to 6 am in the metropolis.
A statement signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Thursday said the tricycles and motorcycles were impounded in the last one week, starting from January 1 to date.
The statement explained that the offenders have been charged to court in connection with the alleged violation of the order.
It warned that the police and sister security organisations would continue to enforce the order in the state.
