Senator Sunday Marshall Katung’s media aide, Mr Midat Joseph has donated N200,000.00 to Government Junior Secondary School, Zikpak, Jema’a local government area of Kaduna State.

Senator Katung represents Kaduna South Senatorial District of the State under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement on Saturday, Mr. Joseph said he was moved to make the donation following an appeal from a caller during a live radio programme on Salama Radio, a private radio station in Kafanchan.

“The amount is to support the Parents Teachers Association of the school to provide chairs and desks to students who sit on bare floor during classes.

“The donation is my widow’s might, because of my humble beginning in life”. The statement said.

Speaking, the Principal of the School, Mrs. Deborah Nuhu Kaggai said the gesture came to them as a surprise.

Receiving the cash, the Chairman, Parents Teachers Association of the School, Mr. Jonathan Musa, thanked the Senator’s Aide for the donation which he said will go a long way to reduce the hardship the students are facing.

Musa appealed to other politicians and well meaning individuals to come to the aid of the school which is in deplorable condition.
