Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State, Mr Musa Yusuf Garba, has warned criminals to relocate from the state because “it will be too hot for them.” The command arrested 15 suspected armed robbers and kidnappers, recovering some dangerous weapons from them.
He has assured residents of sustained efforts by police in fighting crime and criminality: “We will our perform our statutory responsibilities of protecting life and property.
“I visited Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, Kaduna-Zaria Expressway and Kaduna-Kano Expressway. I ordered deployment officers and men of MOPOL47 and tactical team to go after the hoodlums robbing and kidnapped victims along those roads.
“The personnel are also to checkmate the bandits. They will be professional and mindful of the fundamental human rights of the citizens in discharging their responsibilities. They will perform their duties with all humility decorum and alertness.
“I paid courtesy visits to Governor Nasir EI-Rufai, Emir of Zazzau and other traditional rulers. We assured them that we would deal with hoodlums from neighbouring states. Visible policing structures are put in place while patrols will be round the clock. The command will deal with hoodlums and other disgruntled elements attempting to cause breakdown of law and order.
“Operatives neutralised five armed bandits and recovered an operational motorcycle in Kidandan Giwa Local Government. Operatives attached to PMF 47 on routine patrol encountered them along Fatika Road on motorcycles and dressed in military camouflage.
“Some armed robbery suspects were arrested in Kaduna and Zaria.
Valuable goods were recovered from them. They confessed to having been involved in various crimes. The suspects will soon be charged to court.”
