More heartbreaking details have emerged from the deadly attack on Kukyer and Kahur villages in Aribi Ward, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as the names of those killed, injured, and abducted have now been released.
At about 1.am on Sunday, March 29, 2026, the terrorists terrorising parts of Kaduna State stormed the two communities unchallenged, killed, maimed and abducted scores who were said to be wedding guests.
The disclosure of the identities has deepened grief across the affected communities, turning what was already a tragic incident into a more personal and painful loss for families now forced to confront the reality of those they have lost or are still searching for.
Those confirmed killed in the attack include Douglas John, Ado Yakubu, Mai Kano Aribi, John Dan Asabe, Williams Luka, Bako Danjuma, Joseph Yakubu, Victor Peter, Peter Williams, Dogara Markus, Francis Amadu, and Zephaniah Alhaji, with one victim yet to be identified.
The list of the injured has also been made public.
Survivors currently receiving treatment include Micah Tanko, Fidelis Awuh, Samson Alhaji, Habila Bulus, Colonius Dauda, Lina Samaila, Bello Alkali, Felix Erick, Francis Tanko, and Doctor Solomon.
Even more distressing is the release of the names of those abducted during the raid.

Among them are Tanko Makeri, Jummai Victor, Tanko Madaki, Beauty Marshal, Mariya Dominic.
Others are Awede Tanko, Patience Bitrus, Thadious Augustine, Salome Danladi, Ephraim Monday, Kande Monday, Lucky Monday, Lidiya Benjamin, Gambo Benjamin, Najirgi Yakubu, Danladi Kagarko, Daniel Shehu, Talatu Ibrahim.
The remaining are Dauda Markus, Peace Waziri, Tanko Waziri, Promise Waziri, Asami Dauda, Awuh Adams, Bulus Sunday, Chibi Emmanuel, Peace Luka, and one yet-to-be-identified victim.
For many residents, the publication of these names has brought the tragedy closer to home, as friends, neighbours, and relatives are now counted among the victims.
While the communities mourn the dead and support the injured, families continue to wait anxiously for news of those abducted, appealing to both the State and the Federal Government, to come to their aid.
