Buhari should apologise to aggrieved Nigerians – monarch

A rally to welcome President Mohammadu Buhari’s recent to the country after his 103 medical tourism in London, is currently on-going in Ado-Ekiti, state capital.
Hundreds of the President’s supporters and teeming members of the APC are marching through the capital city on Ado-Ikere Road.
They were led by APC’s state Deputy chairman, Mrs. Kemi Olaleye and publicity secretary of the party, Taiwo Olatunbosun and other party leaders.
The rally participants are singing and dancing and have literarily shut down the capital city.
The participants also threw jibes at Governor Ayodele Fayose and reigned several verbal invective at him.
This is just as miixed reactions have trailed President Buhari’s return at the weekend.
While the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Chief Segun Oni described the home coming as a soothing balm on the controversial political atmosphere in Nigeria, a traditional leader and Industrialist, Prince Olusegun Aderemi urged the President to apologise to Nigerians who have been aggrieved by his absence.
In a statement signed by Oni’s media aide, Mr. Steve Alabi in Ado-Ekiti yesterday, he said that, “seeing President Muhammad Buhari in good health has put a lie to the wishes of those who don’t wish the nation well.”
Ekiti Governorship hopeful under the platform of APC, Kola Alabi congratulated the party for the save return of Buhari and commended Vice-President Osinbajo for having holding forte excellently while the President was away.
“President Buhari’s return is greatly heart warming and I congratulate our great party. Now our distractors’ mouths would be shut properly and the promoters of hate speech would be shamed. We also commend Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for having successfully held forte for the President till now.. ” Alabi said.
On the contrary, Aderemi who spoke with newsmen at his country home in Aramoko Ekiti, urged the President to apologise to Nigerians who have been aggrieved by his absence,saying that Buhari should not blame anybody who is aggrieved and expresses his or her grievances about his long absence, noting that, it is their right as citizen to so be.
The National Deputy Chairman, South congratulated Mr. President for his recovery and wish him robust health as he continues to give quality leadership to the nation.
Oni, advised some of the Buhari antagonists to stop playing politics with every issue, especially when it touches on health, saying, they are not God.
” We have to thank God for bringing President Buhari back to the country. What has happened to him is a natural thing that could happen to anyone. Being in a democratic dispensation, so many things would be expected.
Aderemi said that though it was not the wish of President Buhari to stay away from the country for over 100 days, but as a democrat he should apologise to those who felt strongly about his absence.
He said, ” I think that as President and having survived such critical health condition, it is expected that he apologies to Nigerians who have been aggrieved by his absence.
” I know that no reasonable leader would want to go away for a long time and leave his duty behind if not for his health challenge. It has been a situation beyond the President’s control and so we have to bear with him.
” So, the President should apologise and those aggrieved should accept his apology so that we can all move on. But administratively, his absence has not left any vacuum as far as I am concerned because he has a very good Vice- President who has been acting as President since he left.
“He has been doing very well and I know that as a progressive, the Vice President Osinbajo would not do anything without taking a nod from his boss.”
