PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, recently amplified its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts by making a generous donation of books, study materials, mosquito nets, and newly renovated classrooms to the LEA Primary School, Karmo, Sabo 11, Angauwa Hausawa, in the FCT, Abuja.

Amid heartfelt songs of gratitude, the Head Teacher of the school, Mr. Jonathan Auta and his assistant, Mrs. Victoria Hassan Jonathan, expressed deep appreciation to PrimeTech for their thoughtful contributions. Mrs. Jonathan remarked, “On behalf of the entire school, we want to appreciate God for this day, because this day is a great day. We were not expecting things like this. But God has made it; so, we say thank God. We also appreciate you people that you have taken time out of your busy schedule to come and do something in this school. As you come here it is our earnest prayer that you will never go back the same. You will go back with full blessings. We appreciate you very much; the children appreciate you. We, the teachers, also appreciate you.”

Also appreciating the gesture, Caleb, a pupil at the school, said, “On behalf of the pupils of LEA Primary School, Karmo Sabo 11, we are very grateful for the renovation of the classrooms. May God provide more for you people. Amen. We wish you a safe journey to your destination.”

Julius Berger’s Head of Corporate Communication, James Agama, spoke about the company’s commitment, saying, “We are excited to be here today, and we want to say thank you to you teachers for taking good care of this large number of children. It is very encouraging to see 23 teachers taking care of this number of children. It means the pupils’ victory is very high, and we are excited to be part of this. We hope that the children will enjoy a very good and comfortable place to learn. We are encouraging you, and we are also looking for more opportunities as they come, so that we can work together to make sure the children are always taken care of. We love you from PrimeTech, we love you from Julius Berger, and we hope that some of you will become our engineers very soon. Amen.”

PrimeTech’s Technical Adviser-MEP, Markus Klotz, congratulated the students, saying, “I hope you will all enjoy it”.

Mustapha Abubakar, Finance Manager at PrimeTech, took the opportunity to inspire the students, particularly encouraging them to consider engineering as a future career. He shared, “When you think about engineering, it will boost your morale in your studies, and that will also encourage you to read hard. We encourage you to study your books so that you can be responsible citizens of Nigeria.”

Abubakar added, “It is with great joy that we are here today. We thank the school authority for granting us the chance to demonstrate love and show a sense of belonging to our community. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to us at PrimeTech Design refers to the initiatives and practices adopted to positively impact the communities where we operate. In simple terms, we are giving back to the communities. Aside from the renovations, we have some parting gifts because we cherish you and appreciate you.”

PrimeTech’s architect, Oluwateniola Sonuga, delivered an encouraging career talk, urging the children to study hard and dream of becoming great architects and engineers.
