He highlighted the difference between journalism and public relations, noting that while journalists pursue truth, PR manages perception and reputation. Using Julius Berger as an example, Ali said, “Established trust encourages journalists to actively seek the company’s perspective during controversies,” and stressed that compelling story framing remains the strongest bridge between PR and the media.
Dr Kaita further reaffirmed Julius Berger’s contributions to national development, citing iconic projects like the Eko Bridge, Third Mainland Bridge, and Abuja–Kano Expressway. He also highlighted the company’s collaboration with Ahmadu Bello University on cold recycling technology, an innovation recognized internationally by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Editors and senior journalists from top media houses including ThisDay, BusinessDay, The Punch, Vanguard, The Guardian, Daily Trust, and Nairametrics attended the events in Lagos and Abuja, underscoring the strength of the enduring partnership between Julius Berger and Nigeria’s media community.
