Popular Nigerian actress, Juliet Jatto has held that film industry in Nigeria has what it takes to address issue unemployment in the country.
The Delta-born actress said all what government need to do in tackling unemployment , is to invest heavily in the creative industry and make
one digit loan to practitioners.
Jatto, who has a BSC in Public Administration from the University of Lagos, said: “Youth can tap into opportunities in the movie industry to become self employed. So many opportunities exist before and behind the camera, from acting to cinematography, script writing , editing , costume design and many more.
“The government can motivate the youth by investing in the industry via grant and one digit loan because doing that will even help government to create more employment through our industry”.
On her career projection, Jatto said
in five years time , she would love to be on top of her game with more hard work, and positive impact from as an outstanding and popular actress.
Affirmed that her rise to stardom would not affect her character,
“I will always be who I am”.
On advice to upcoming actors and actresses, she said: “They should be very determined, focused with character and set a target for what they intend to achieve and with perseverance they will achieve what they want. They should also avoid unnecessary backbiting or spoiling other people’s image. Focus, loyalty, determination is key and they should always be willing to learn. Daily improvement is key in our industry._
