Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu said he has forgiven all those who took him to various courts round the nation, and warned them to desist from troubling him saying he bears the mark of Jesus on his body.
He said that he bore no grudges against anybody and urged his supporters to also forgive all those who fought him.
“But Like I said after the first victory at the Supreme Court, I bear the mark of Jesus, Let no man trouble me again”, Ikpeazu declared. He made this declaration at Victory Chapel, inside Government House, Umuahia, after a short service, conducted to thank God as he arrived from Abuja. He dedicated the victory to the people of Abia State for their sustained support and prayers and extended olive branch to his opponents, urging them to come to the table and assist in the plan towards achieving greatness for Abia.
He said that his government does not have the luxury of time as it had already spent two years in and out of courts.
“We are in a hurry to develop Abia because in many parts of the world and indeed Nigeria, developments are going on in leaps and bounds. States, whose court cases ended within few weeks of their elections have gone far ahead in development, but we thank God to have remained focused and therefore wish to invite all those who were contending to sheathe their swords and return to the table for us to plan together for the future and the sake of our children.”
“I want to seize this opportunity to thank all churches, clergymen and indeed the masses and common people of Abia state for their steadfastness through this tortuous and long journey.
