The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), has said that the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed Bola Tinubu, as the president is a call for duty.
The President General of the Igbo youth groups, Goodluck Ibem, noted that this was the time for President Bola Tinubu to address the economic hardship Nigerians are currently facing.
He said: “The truth about the mood of the nation is that the people both big and small are very hungry and are in dire need of a solution to their problems. “Currently, the exchange rate of just one dollar is N1310, which has doubled the prices of goods and services in the nation and has brought untold hardship on the people. “The cozy environment of the Aso rock villa does not change the reality on ground in our markets.
“President Tinubu must as a matter of urgency address headlong the high cost of goods and services in the country by bringing on board proactive economic measures that will bring naira back to her feet, while also reducing the cost of cement to N1000 per bag, which will help address housing challenges. He should bring petrol to N 160 per litre; cooking gas to N150 per kilo, and kerosene to N100 per litre, among others.”
