itel, the smart technology brand known for making innovation accessible, pedaled into new territory with the maiden Tour de Nigeria 60KM Road Cycling Challenge, held in Lagos on November 2, 2025, in partnership with Cycology, Nigeria’s leading cycling club.
The high-energy event celebrated fitness, wellness, and technology, proving that smart living can be both active and connected.
Hundreds of cyclists took off from Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, powering through a demanding 60KM route that looped through Osborne Road, Ring Road, and the iconic Third Mainland Bridge, before circling back through Gbagada, Anthony, and Oshodi to finish triumphantly at Ikoyi.
Cheered on by Lagos residents, the challenge drew support from Pocari Sweat, Lagos State Sports Commission, and Google, creating a vibrant fusion of sport, innovation, and community spirit.
Riders also tested the itel Apex N10 Smartwatch, built with GPS tracking, Corning Gorilla Glass, and 50-meter water resistance — a perfect tech companion for outdoor endurance.
At the finish line, itel turned the energy up a notch with the Smart Life Party, a post-ride celebration featuring music, games, and giveaways, rewarding participants and uniting fitness lovers across the state.
Chuks Obikwame, ATL Marketing Manager, Accessories & Small Appliances, itel Nigeria, said:
“Tour de Nigeria is more than a cycling challenge — it’s about bringing people together through fitness, passion, and smart technology. With the Apex N10, we’re helping Nigerians track their wellness goals while enjoying innovation that fits their lifestyle.”
Olukunle Osunkunle, Club Captain of Cycology, added:
“Our partnership with itel shows how corporate collaboration can boost sports and wellness. It’s exciting to see technology brands supporting community engagement through cycling.”
From endurance to innovation, itel’s Tour de Nigeria marked a new milestone in blending technology with lifestyle, proving once again that fitness can be smart, stylish, and for everyone.
