Innoson Academy, under the IVM – BOSCH Training Project, has completed the training of 1,528 youths both male and female selected from the five south east states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo.
The beneficiaries whose one year training was effected in four Phases/Work Packages in the Express Bosch Car Service (EBCS) Workshops established in each of the five south east states, were trained in Bosch Auto Diagnostic Equipment namely, Brake Fluid Tester, Car Scanner, Battery Tester, Air Conditioning Machine and Battery Charger.
The project was sponsored by Innoson Kiara Academy ( IKA) – a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) promoter, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, (IVM) and BOSCH, a German cooperation, DEG/develoPPP.de.
Speaking during the formal graduation ceremony and issuance of Certificates to the last 4th Phase trainees numbering 394, the Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Kiara Academy (IKA) Mr Endi Ezengwa commended the Bosch Company for providing the Training equipment and IVM Chairman, Chief Dr. Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma for partnering in the project.
He disclosed that a total of 2,200 Apprentices were targeted to be trained by 2024.
Congratulating the graduates, Dr Innocent Chukwuma President/CEO of Innoson Motors told them that their successful training and Certification qualifies them for both direct and self employment globally.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Patrick Aghadinuno Mba who commended IKA and IVM and described human capital development as the greatest aspect of development, asserted that a society cannot develop without developing the people especially the youths
The Training Manager at the Academy, Ifeanyi Joseph Okeke expressed joy with the zeal and determination of the trainees to learn and graduate within the set period.
Spokesman of Nigeria Automotive Technicians Association (NATA), Chief Chukwuemeka Makasi commended the Training Sponsors saying that it’s member- beneficiaries would justify it and not disappoint them.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Miss Emmanuela Nwachukwu of Abia state who trained in Auto Diagnostics and Maintenance said they were optimistic of earning a rewarding livelihood with their training and thanked the organisers.
