Manager Thomas Reis has confirmed that Paul Onuachu is still recovering from injury.
The Nigeria suffered an injury in the opening minutes of Trabzonspor’s 4-2 win over KuPS last Thursday and was substituted in the 10th minute, shortly after opening the scoring.
As a result of the ailment, the FC Ebedei product missed Monday’s clash with Besiktas.
Speaking at Wednesday’s pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Hearts, Reis suggested that Onuachu could return to action on Monday, October 26, when his side face Rizespor on matchday nine of the Turkish Super Lig.
The German coach also left the door open for a possible comeback against Gaziantep FK on Sunday, November 1, if Onuachu is not fit in time for the Rizespor clash.
Providing an update on the injured players, he stated, via Ajansspor: “Mustafa’s return to the field tomorrow will be a little early. If Onuachu cannot be with us in the Rizespor match, he will be with us in the next match.
“We will have a training session after the press conference. We will make the starting eleven decision after this training session.”
