Infertility: Experts urges victims to speak out

Ahead of World Fertility Day, experts have urged couples with fertility challenges to speak out, saying the journey to having babies is not a one size fits all approach.

The advice was given at a one-day seminar with the theme ‘Parenthood: From Your Heart to Your Arms”.

In her welcome remarks, Senior Embryologist and Co-founder of Origene Fertility, Mrs Oludayo Yusuf, reiterated Origene”s commitment to supporting couples on the journey to parenthood, while encouraging them to remain unperturbed and speak out about their desire to have children.

Yusuf while dissecting myths and facts about infertility said couples should disabuse their minds about demonic forces preventing them from childbearing.

She added that Origene Fertility offers world-class solutions in fertility treatments with the help of advanced tools and the experience of a pioneer gynaecologist team.

“Parenthood is a journey and there are various ways to arrive at the destination. While the journey may seem lonely, it doesn’t have to be because there are solutions.

Yusuf noted further that the ultimate aim is to become a parent in a safe, comfortable, and legal way, adding that, one must decide to take the first step.

On his part, the Medical Director, and Co-founder, Dr Babatunde Ogunkinle, said a lot of people have died in silence due to life challenges that have solutions, saying the way out is to speak out.

He stated that over eight million babies have been born through IVF.
