A real estate expert and housing investor, My-Ace China, has said financial icon, Herbert Wigwe, who died in a US air crash would continue to live in the hearts of men except his vision and legacies were allowed to die.

China, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Housing & Construction Mayor Limited, said the best way to immortalise Wigwe, CEO, Access Corporation, who died along with his wife and son, would be to strengthen and sustain his (Wigwe) visions and projects.

The entrepreneur, popularly known as Mayor of Housing, reflected in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on the tragedy, saying, “Immediately news of the crash in the US and passing of the high profile Nigerian CEO and Rivers-born Dr. Herbert Wigwe broke, I started looking up his partners, those associated with his dreams, and the construction partners at the Wigwe University.

“I know men of vision, legends don’t die until their legacies die. So, Dr. Wigwe is not dead yet. I look up those whose onus and opportunity it is to sustain his dreams and make sure Wigwe does not die.

“Wigwe will die the day Wigwe University is dead, the day Access Bank stops being a leading financial institution in the world; the day all the wonderful partnerships he has brokered between Access Holdings and other companies globally and in Africa die, day all the acquisitions by Access Holding he has helped to acquire die.”

The Mayor of Housing said the landmark investments of the banking icon meant Wigwe was not a lone-man project, that he had got partners and associates.

He continued:“If they let his visions die, they have actually let him die; if they let his visions live and succeed, they have let him live; and if they propagate and exponentially build these dreams beyond the wildest imaginations of Wigwe himself, they would have not only made him live but have immortalized him and his legacies.

“I don’t know a lot, but one value I hold dearly about Wigwe is that he asks you to do 10 things, he does 12. That shows he is a leader that acts in the front.

“Wigwe is a performance-leader and such species of homo sapiens are rare. If we live the life of the likes of Dr. Wigwe, we would not be busy weeping; but, if we strive to sustain his dreams and legacies, he would then live on.”
