The Nigeria Insurers Association (NIA) has announced the appointment of Mrs. Yetunde Ilori as the new Director General of the association. Also in the same vein, the Managing Director/CEO of NEM Insurance Plc, Mr. Tope Smart, was elected Deputy Chairman of the association.
Ilori takes over from Mr. Sunday Thomas who was recently appointed the Deputy Commissioner, Technical, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) by President Muhammadu Buhari in May 2017.
Unveiling the new Director General to insurance journalists in Lagos, Chairman of NIA, Mr. Eddie Efekoha, said her appointment was widely accepted and approved at the council meeting of the association, especially because of her vast knowledge and contributions at various levels to the industry.
