Gubernatorial Candidate for Labour Party in Delta State, Mr. Ken Pela has said his vision if elected into office as the governor is to enthrone righteousness, harmony and prosperity.
The business mogul said that his vision is deeply rooted in the vision of the presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi to take Nigeria from consumption to production level.
He said enthroning righteousness in governance means leadership of accountability, integrity, fairness, equity and justice.
According to him, the party would eliminate waste, corruption, and bring in transparency into government and re-orientate the value of the good people of Delta State and ensure mass participation of the people in the affairs of the government.
Pela who decried the state of insecurity in the state, added that, he would ensure adequate security in Delta State, adding that security operatives would be equipped to ensure peace in the land to enable the good people of the state sleep with their two eyes closed
He promised to construct best roads, improve the healthcare services and education and vowed to pay civil servant a living wage by increasing the minimum wage progressively from meager N30,000 to N100,000 per month.
Pela who spoke on Arise Television during Morning Show, said there would be Social Investment Scheme (SIS) to Deltans and that his administration would inject the sum of N120 billion into the economy of Delta State for a period of four years, and make an interest free loans to people to start up their own businesses and also expand their businesses.
He said the interest free loans would be payable for four years, as he would grant N1 million each to a hundred people in the 25 local government area every month which will drive the economy of the state.
He said that Delta State earns far more than Bornu State,which is making visible progress in infrastructure while Delta has nothing to show from the Federal allocation and internally Generated Revenue (IGR), adding that he would look into all the loans taken by the present administration to know if the loans were used for the purpose of which they were taken.
According to him, once his administration is able to eliminate waste, corruption and channel the money to the purposes that are meant for, Delta State would smile again.
He would bring in investors who would utilize the gas being wasted through gas flaring.
He also promised to revive all the moribund companies and the ailing ones in the state and to build ten cities in all the constituencies in the state .
He called on all Deltans to come out en-mass on Saturday, March 18 to vote for the Labour Party so as to enthrone righteousness in the state.
