In a bid to promote security and welfare of people of Ikwuano Obodoukwu Community in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, Executive Committee of the community and Ikwuano Youth Council held a joint interactive meeting where youths were urged to shun anti social activities that could potray the community in bad light.
During the meeting which was attended by executive members of the mother union, including Eze Jude Obidegwu, Obi of Ikwuano Obodoukwu Autonomous Community, Eze Odenigbo II, his cabinet chiefs, and Ikwuano youths, among others., the community deliberated on critical issues that will move Ikwuano Obodoukwu forward.
In his contributions, Obi of Ikwuano Obodoukwu, Eze Odenigbo II prayed for the peace and progress of the community and admonished the youths to be of good behaviour at all times and to reflect the character and decency the people of Ikwuano are known for over the ages.
Chief Vitus Uzoh, the Onwa Ikwuano, also enjoined youths to live exemplary life worthy of emulation. He advised the youths on the need to be humble and keep away from societal vices, such as abuse of hard drugs, violence, and criminality.
In his remarks, the President-General, Chief Ogunta, advised the youths on the virtues of living a responsible life that will make a positive impact on the Ikwuano Obodoukwu community.
He warned them against anti-social behaviors, like fighting, attacking their parents, smoking, consuming hard drugs, and other forms of criminality.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates of authority to youth executives in the community, among them, Prince Uche Ezeanyim, President; Nnamdi Obi,Vice President; Celestine Agbagha, Secretary General.
